Job summary

Matchtech seeks a Quality Inspector - Electrical to join a leading Defence and Security client on a permanent basis. You will ensure electrical assemblies meet quality, technical, and dimensional standards and report non-conformances per company procedures.

Your role includes inspecting electrical components, supporting root cause analysis, and collaborating with QA and manufacturing to sustain high-quality output. Strong reading of drawings and IPC620/610 knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in inspection and quality control within Aerospace/Defence.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, wiring schedules, schematics, and circuits.
• Knowledge of IPC620 and IPC610 standards.
• Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and in a team.
• Excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products passing through the Electrical Quality Control inspection function.
• Report on conformance of Electrical Assemblies.
• Participate in root cause analysis and drive 'Right First Time'.
• Support manufacturing to achieve high quality output.
• Attend and contribute to production meetings.
• Work with QA to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
• Inspect piece parts, electrical and cable assemblies, and completed assemblies.
• Conduct 'Pre-closure' line and roving inspections for workmanship.
• Record non-conformances using in-house processes and log statuses.
