A leading construction recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee electrical packages on commercial and industrial projects. You will lead the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to safety standards, and high-quality outcomes while coordinating with various stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in project management within the electrical sector and excellent leadership skills.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and deliver electrical packages on commercial and industrial projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of electrical installations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end delivery of electrical projects from pre-construction to handover
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to meet project requirements
Plan, schedule, and manage labour, materials, and subcontractors
Monitor progress against programme and manage any variations or delays
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, including RAMS and site protocols
Lead site meetings and progress reviews
Review and manage technical drawings, specifications, and scope of works
Oversee testing, commissioning, and final handover documentation (O&M manuals, certificates)
Manage budgets, procurement, and commercial reporting with support from QS/Commercial team
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager in the commercial or industrial sector
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation standards, and current regulations
ECS/JIB Gold Card or equivalent (desirable)
SMSTS or SSSTS
Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and solve problems effectively
Competent in interpreting drawings, specifications, and schematics
UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
Desirable:
Experience managing projects in sectors such as logistics, education, healthcare, or data centres
