A well-established electrical contractor is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to oversee commercial projects across London and Heathrow. The ideal candidate should have a hands-on electrical background, proven experience in project management, and strong leadership skills. This role offers a competitive salary of £400 - £450 per day outside IR35 and is based in Heathrow.

Role: Electrical Project Manager
Salary: 400 - 450 pd OUTSIDE IR35
Location: Heathrow

My client is a well-established electrical contractor with over 30 years of industry experience. Known for their high-quality delivery and professionalism, they specialise in commercial developments across London and Heathrow. Despite their scale, they are recognised for their excellent staff retention, driven by robust employee development programmes and in-depth internal training.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the full lifecycle of commercial electrical projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover

  • Reviewing electrical designs for scope accuracy, compliance, and clash detection

  • Developing and managing detailed short-term and long-term project programmes

  • Ensuring all Health & Safety documentation (RAMS) is up to date and fully implemented on site

  • Producing and submitting all relevant technical documentation

  • Issuing and managing RFIs (Requests for Information) as required

  • Coordinating subcontractors and managing direct labour

  • Leading the commissioning and final handover process

  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, consultants, and delivery partners

  • Chairing and contributing to regular progress meetings with internal and external stakeholders

Ideal Candidate:

  • Comes from a hands-on electrical background with solid technical understanding

  • Proven experience delivering commercial electrical projects in London.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Project Management role within the building services sector

  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills

  • Experienced in client liaison and capable of leading project meetings confidently
