Job description

Electrical Project Manager

Our client, established in 2002, offers comprehensive solutions from design to installation and certification. Specializing in various sectors, with a strong reputation in rail, they have projects across the UK, covering railway lines from Leeds to London (North East Mainline). They ensure safe and timely delivery for all clients.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000, depending on experience

Role Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical projects within the railway sector from conception to completion.
• Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for railway electrical projects.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct site visits to inspect work and ensure safety compliance.
• Prepare cost estimates and track expenses to stay within budget.
• Allocate resources and lead project teams to achieve objectives.
• Serve as the main contact for clients, providing updates and managing expectations.
• Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Conduct quality inspections and implement corrective actions.

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical project management.
• Proven success in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Electrical qualifications such as JIB Electrical Contracts Manager Black Card, NVQ Level 3 Electrical, SSSTS/SMSTS, and JIB Card/Apprenticeship are desirable.
• Railway experience is desirable.
