Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Electrical Project Manager / EV Manager to join a well-established engineering firm. This full-time role offers a starting salary of GBP45,760, hybrid working options, and benefits.

Role Overview

As a Electrical Project Manager / EV Manager, you will manage EV charging installations, lead a team of engineers, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the design, specification, and safe delivery of domestic EV charger installations.
2. Oversee the full project lifecycle from site survey to final commissioning.
3. Conduct on-site technical audits and maintain quality assurance.
4. Support scheduling and operational planning.
5. Mentor engineers and apprentices through hands-on training and guidance.
6. Act as the primary technical contact for EV projects.
7. Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and third parties.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Installation Manager, EV Project Manager, or similar role.
• Experience in EV charging installation and design.
• Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• City & Guilds 2921-31 or equivalent (EV Charger Installation).
• City & Guilds 2391-52 or equivalent (Testing & Inspection).
• Understanding of electrical compliance and isolation procedures.
• Knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Valid UK driving license.
• Reside within 20 miles of the office.
