Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead, manage, and execute electrical engineering projects across a variety of industries, including construction, energy, industrial, or commercial sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the delivery of electrical systems, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety& quality standards.

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will work closely with Senior leadership, engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients to deliver seamless electrical solutions. This role requires strong technical knowledge, project management expertise, and excellent communication skills to drive projects to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning & Execution:
  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of electrical projects from start to finish, including coordinating timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, risk management strategies, and resource allocation.
  • Manage electrical design and engineering efforts, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations

2.Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Lead and mentor project teams, including electrical engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, ensuring efficient collaboration and communication.
  • Ensure teams adhere to safety protocols, project schedules, and quality control measures throughout the lifecycle of the project

3.Budget & Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure the project stays within financial constraints.
  • Monitor resource allocation and optimise team utilisation to meet project goals.

4.Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to clients and senior management, offering solutions to overcome challenges.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and ensuring the final product meets client specifications.

5.Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure all electrical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Perform regular quality checks and site inspections to ensure work meets or exceeds required standards.

6.Risk Management & Problem Solving:

  • Identify and mitigate risks related to the project scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Address any issues or obstacles promptly and effectively, adjusting plans as needed to stay on track.

7. Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all project activities comply with relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and organisational policies.
  • Develop and implement site-specific H&S plans, including risk assessments, method statements, and emergency procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with H&S standards, addressing any unsafe practices or conditions immediately.
  • Ensure all team members have the necessary training, certifications, and personal protective equipment (PPE) for their roles.
  • Notify incidents, accidents, and near misses, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Promote a proactive approach to safety by fostering a culture of awareness and accountability among team members and contractors.

8. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other relevant documentation.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates to senior management and clients, detailing timelines, budgets, and performance metrics.

- C&G 2391 test and inspect.

- C&G 2396 Electrical design

- ECS Black Card Current

Desirable

- PMP certification

- 3+ years of experience in project management,
