Overview

Client: Our client is a traditional privately owned M&E contractor based in Kent. The business turnover is £35M+ with projects in retail banking, government, commercial office and healthcare sectors. Average project size ranges from £500K to £8M, with the majority of projects located in central London. The company has over 50 years of experience and is a preferred contractor for blue chip clients, including ISG, Willmott Dixon, Barclays and HSBC. They are forecasting a turnover of £40M for the year and are looking to appoint an Electrical Design Manager.

Role

Electrical Project Manager – £65,000 - £75,000 + Travel + Healthcare + Pension + Bonus

Responsibilities
  • Project Management of building services projects in London valued from £500K to £5m MEP
  • Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant
  • Technical submittals
  • RFIs – liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors
  • Value engineering where applicable
  • Programming of works using MS Project or Asta Project
  • Health & Safety management (RAMs)
  • Commercial responsibility, assisting with subcontractor variation accounts with project QS
  • Management of variations
  • Team coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors)
  • Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings
  • Overseeing commissioning stages
  • Formulation of OM manuals and client handover
Ideal Candidate
  • Familiar with fast-paced environments
  • Experience managing projects to a minimum of £500K within your own discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a management role
  • Demonstrates longevity in previous employment
