Job summary

People Group in West London is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Lead to join a Tier One contractor on a flagship data centre project. This senior, client-facing role sits at Associate Director level, delivering the electrical package from pre-construction through commissioning.

You will own delivery, lead multidisciplinary teams, manage design reviews, ensure safety and quality, and support commercial colleagues on cost control and procurement.

Qualifications

• Senior electrical leadership experience in Tier One or major contractor environments.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical systems, commissioning and integration.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced settings.
• Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical delivery strategy across a major data centre project.
• Manage and coordinate MEP subcontractors, consultants and internal teams.
• Oversee design development, technical reviews and value engineering.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, standards and safety regulations.
• Drive programme performance, identify risks and implement mitigations.
• Act as the primary electrical lead in client and stakeholder meetings.
• Support commercial teams in cost control, procurement and reporting.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project engineers and site teams.

A leading Tier One Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Lead to join its high-performing team, delivering a flagship data centre project in West London. This is a senior, client-facing role at Associate Director level, offering the opportunity to lead complex, high-value works within one of the fastest-growing sectors in construction.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of the electrical package from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
