Job summary

Fusion People are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a high-profile project in Manchester. You will support from design development through testing and commissioning, coordinating with the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer to ensure technical compliance and quality across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical building services, M&E or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems in complex buildings.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications and design information.
• Familiar with electrical installation, testing and commissioning processes.
• BIM coordination skills for multidisciplinary projects.
• Excellent organisation and communication within project teams.
• Proactive problem-solving with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and review electrical design information, raise RFIs and technical queries.
• Support procurement packages with technical reviews and material deliveries monitoring.
• Review shop drawings, submittals and method statements for approval.
• Monitor works against programmes and flag delays or constraints.
• Support site installation activities ensuring quality and specs compliance.
• Assist with electrical take-offs and procurement planning.
• Support BIM coordination, clash detection and resolutions.
• Assist RAMS reviews and health & safety procedures.
• Maintain QA/QC docs including inspections, testing and NCRs.
• Coordinate and support electrical testing and commissioning activities.
• Provide technical input for variations and change management.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
