Electrical Project Engineer - Battery Storage

Location: UK, Remote, with occasional travel required.
Contract Type: Permanent.
Working Hours: 37 hours/week.
Closing Date: On receipt of sufficient applications.

About The Role

• Coordinate responsibilities between project team and operator as owner’s engineer during project execution.
• Ensure design conformity with existing BESS and employer requirements.
• Define technical requirements for new projects from the operator’s perspective, in coordination with O&M and asset management teams.
• Ensure completeness and correctness of handover documentation and compliance with management systems (ISMS, SAP, etc.).
• Conduct design reviews for new projects to ensure conformity with Employer Requirements and standards.
• Manage internal modification projects on BESS in operation, coordinating between project and O&M teams.
• Provide feedback and support for Lessons Learned and participate in expert groups to promote knowledge exchange in battery storage systems.

Job Requirements and Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of HV and LV installations, I&C, automation systems, and electrical design verification.
• Preferred knowledge in BESS design, construction, operation, SAP, IT/OT networks, and cost management.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% (not regular).
