Electrical Project Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct site visits across Thames Valley region to liaise with clients, assess project requirements, and perform detailed site surveys.
2. Create technical specifications based on client requirements, including documenting site details and taking photographs, then collaborate with the Project Manager to refine the specifications.
3. Input all survey data, including photographs, into the job costing system to ensure transparency.
4. Expedite supplier orders and subcontract works packages.
5. Perform inspection visits to supplier premises to monitor progress and conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards.
6. Ensure that quality standards are met by suppliers and subcontractors during project delivery.
7. Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with company procedures and policies.
8. Maintain effective communication with internal resources, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
9. Develop and maintain design standards for water and process-based plant, equipment, and ancillaries.
10. Provide design deliverables ready for construction and offer technical support from the office.
11. Assist the project manager with coordinating design and procurement activities.
12. Assist the engineering team in preparing equipment specifications.

Ideal Skills & Qualifications

• At least 4-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience managing large value projects from conception to handover.
• Relevant engineering qualification, ideally at Degree level.
• Full UK driving license.
• Knowledge of onsite health and safety regulations.
• Water Hygiene training or basic understanding of water and sewerage hygiene (desired).
• Background in engineering, particularly in Water Utilities and/or process control, flow control, instrumentation, LV MCCs & PLCs.
• Strong communication skills for client meetings and site team coordination.
• Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
