Job description

My client is looking for an Engineer with the passion and willingness to engineer and develop designs for projects, the ability to follow challenging standards, and overall to add value to our customers at home and abroad.

Role Responsibilities

• As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will support automation projects by creating electrical circuits and layouts for intralogistics equipment and systems. The role requires a person who is friendly, able to communicate effectively within their area of expertise, and adheres to standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate should be persistent, organized, structured, self-controlled, kind, consistent, analytical, sensitive, precise, logical, and systematic.
• Developing electrical designs for industrial and low voltage installations.
• Experience with engineering tools like AutoCAD and Eplan is preferred.
• An Electro-technology or Energy technology qualification is preferable.
• Knowledge of industrial networks such as ProfiNet, ASi bus, and Profibus.
• Experience with technologies and equipment used in Material Handling Systems is advantageous.

Qualification and Skills

• Ability to interpret user requirements, analyze feasibility, and consider technical standards.
• Participate in decision-making regarding electrical components and interfaces with relevant disciplines.
• Design, specify, and calculate the complete electrical controls installation, including cabinets, field wiring, cable trunking, and mechanical supports.
• Create power calculations, cable calculations for layouts, and determine selectivity.
• Design control drawings and layouts, providing all necessary information for manufacturers, installation managers, engineers, wiring contractors, and purchasing.
• Design according to known procedures, rules, and UK legislation such as machinery regulations where applicable.
