Would you enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary project delivery team? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our small schemes team based in our North division as an Electrical Project Engineer.

What you'll do

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for reactive and planned capital maintenance projects across various sites, including water recycling, water production, sewerage, and water distribution.

The project values range from £15,000 to £500,000. You will be based in the north area covering Mendip, Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire, and Bristol.

Projects may include pumping station upgrades, inlet screen replacements, emergency wastewater treatment side streams, and water treatment process upgrades, covering a range of sites including Bio-Resource sites.

Your role will involve:

  • Optioneering, tendering, spend forecasting, project delivery, commissioning, authoring payments, and project closeouts
  • Working closely with contractors and supply chain
  • Ensuring health and safety and statutory regulations are followed
  • Meeting company and departmental targets
  • Assisting in establishing budgets and approvals

What you'll need

Ideally, you will have a background in construction or water industry with experience in project management and working with external contractors.

It is essential that you have a safety-first approach and good negotiation and influencing skills.

Additionally, you will need to:

  • Have a positive, proactive attitude
  • Be well-organized, customer-focused, and a team player
  • Hold a technical level 4 (HNC) qualification in engineering
  • Be a registered engineer (EngTech/IEng) or working towards registration, with support available
  • Have knowledge of CDM 2015
  • Possess a valid driving license (a company car will be provided if you cannot use your own vehicle)

Mechanical or electrical experience is beneficial but not essential.
