Job summary

Sustainable Talent is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer with a strong understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) for a Chester-based project. This hands-on role bridges design and site delivery, leading a team of electricians and ensuring installations meet safety, quality and programme objectives.

You'll review drawings, coordinate subcontractors and liaise with commissioning teams and clients on a major electrical installation project with a 6-month contract and 50

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Electrical Project Engineer on commercial, industrial or critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience driving site-based project delivery and installation activities.
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate electrical labour on site.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating a team of approximately 20 electricians on site.
• Reviewing electrical and BMS drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Turning design information into practical installation activities.
• Managing daily electrical installation works with supervisors and subcontractors.
• Ensuring quality, safety and programme objectives are achieved.
• Attending site progress meetings and providing technical support.
• Liaising with commissioning teams, clients and key project stakeholders.
• Resolving technical issues and managing project documentation.

We're supporting a major electrical installation project near Chester and are looking for a hands‑on Project Engineer who can successfully bridge the gap between design and site delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high‑profile project, leading site activities and ensuring installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
