Electrical Project Engineer

We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer who will plan and undertake the project workload and allocate specific tasks to other appointed personnel associated with the project in conjunction with directions from the Senior Project Manager.

Key Duties:

1. Monitor the workload and tasks that other individuals both in the office and at site level are undertaking on a daily basis to ensure the projects are operating efficiently and profitably.
2. Prepare operational project programmes in line with the main project programme and identify labour and material procurement deadlines. Carry out required tasks to ensure deadlines are met. Monitor this regularly.
3. Prepare major material and master material procurement schedules. Identify and check that proposed procurement dates align with the programme to ensure materials and equipment are available on site on time.
4. Secure the best prices via new quotations to achieve cost savings based on the original tender offer.
5. Maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure prompt response to quotation requests and delivery requirements.
6. Review and interpret proposed designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with obligations and standards.
7. Monitor project deliverables and direct work sequencing to expedite project completion as per the works programme.
8. Represent the company at meetings with customers, consultants, sub-contractors, and other relevant organizations as directed by the Senior Project Manager.
