Job summary

Office Angels UK is seeking a Production Technician (Electrical) to manufacture, assemble and test high‑voltage electrical equipment in a hybrid role based in Wellington, Somerset. The successful candidate will follow drawings and data packs to ensure quality and safety in production.

The position suits someone with wiring/soldering experience and a willingness to train and develop within an engineering environment. A competitive salary plus benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or time served in electrical engineering/manufacturing.
• Good IT skills (Word, Excel).
• Experience in electronics industry and building harnesses.
• Experience of working on high voltage systems.
• Willingness to train and develop.
• Good customer/stakeholder relation skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Forward thinker and people person.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble and test electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Soldering electrical control boards and wiring harnesses.
• Assembling and crimping of complex wiring harnesses.
• Fault finding and repair of electrical and associated assemblies.
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment reporting failures to the Production Manager.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are within calibration date and specification.
• Fill out production job cards and other documentation relating to build and quality processes.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and processes.
• Maintain clean work areas to maintain efficiency and safety.
• Work in a positive, efficient and safe manner.
• Wear PPE as directed by Production Manager.
