A position has arisen within the Production Engineering Department for an Electrical Production Engineer.

Job Description:
- Technical support for all production departments on electrical systems.
- Provide quick technical support to resolve machine breakdowns and line stoppages.
- Electrically test & validate new machine options, including functional checking.
- Prepare modification requests for design changes (Electrical circuit & loom harness).
- Prepare electrical assembly process documents & check sheets.
- Test & evaluate new machines, including functional checking.
- Design, specify, and commission test rigs.
- Identify risks and implement safety improvements.
- Provide technical support to Service & QA departments.
Essential Criteria:
- Apprentice Trained in an electrical engineering discipline.
- Qualified Electrical Engineer with recognised qualifications – 18th Edition & HNC (Electrical Engineering).
- Industrial Electrical Experience.
- IT literate in all Microsoft Office packages.
- Self-motivated with good time management.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong grasp of electrical engineering principles.
- Ability to work well with people of all abilities.
Desirable Criteria:
- Understanding of PLCs.
- Knowledge of inverter drive systems.
- Ability to read & interpret electrical circuit drawings & ladder diagrams.
- Fault finding skills using electrical diagnostics, I/O, & PLC.
- Knowledge of risk assessment & health & safety requirements.
- Experience in defining & documenting assembly procedures.
- Project planning & management skills.
- Knowledge of electrical inspection & test methods.
- Understanding of hydraulic & pneumatic systems for fault finding.
- Ability to improve processes & productivity.
- Capability to operate CNC machinery.
