Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market-leading Machine Tool manufacturer with a strong industry presence.

A position has arisen within the Production Engineering Department for an Electrical Production Engineer.

365 Resourcing are the preferred supplier working on behalf of Mazak.

Job Description:
  • Technical support for all production departments on electrical systems.
  • Provide quick technical support to resolve machine breakdowns and line stoppages.
  • Electrically test & validate new machine options, including functional checking.
  • Prepare modification requests for design changes (Electrical circuit & loom harness).
  • Prepare electrical assembly process documents & check sheets.
  • Test & evaluate new machines, including functional checking.
  • Design, specify, and commission test rigs.
  • Identify risks and implement safety improvements.
  • Provide technical support to Service & QA departments.
Essential Criteria:
  • Apprentice Trained in an electrical engineering discipline.
  • Qualified Electrical Engineer with recognised qualifications – 18th Edition & HNC (Electrical Engineering).
  • Industrial Electrical Experience.
  • IT literate in all Microsoft Office packages.
  • Self-motivated with good time management.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong grasp of electrical engineering principles.
  • Ability to work well with people of all abilities.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Understanding of PLCs.
  • Knowledge of inverter drive systems.
  • Ability to read & interpret electrical circuit drawings & ladder diagrams.
  • Fault finding skills using electrical diagnostics, I/O, & PLC.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment & health & safety requirements.
  • Experience in defining & documenting assembly procedures.
  • Project planning & management skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical inspection & test methods.
  • Understanding of hydraulic & pneumatic systems for fault finding.
  • Ability to improve processes & productivity.
  • Capability to operate CNC machinery.
