Salary: 38,000.00 - 42,000.00 GBP Annual + Plus GBP 4,000.00 on-call allowance

Are you an experienced Electrical & Control Technician, or a time-served apprentice with the relevant qualifications? I have a fantastic opportunity for a suitable candidate to join a reputable company based in Bathford.

I am seeking an Electrical & Control Technician who likes to develop and further their skills across all departments within the business. This is a hands-on role. The ideal candidate must have proven electrical experience and be familiar with control panels and PLCs. Your daily duties will be to support the operation of the Electrical department by testing, repairing, installing, upgrading, and ensuring continuous improvement across the site.

Location: Bathford

Salary: GBP 38,000.00 - GBP 42,000.00 (Plus GBP 4,000.00 on-call allowance)

Contract: Permanent

Due to the nature of the business, a DBS check will be required; this will be funded by the company. On the company's instructions, please do not apply if you do not live within a commutable distance to Bathford, or if sponsorship is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute planned preventative maintenance of all electrical and process control equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems or malfunctions
  • Engage with hardware and software updates and diagnostics for PLCs
  • Carry out installation upgrades and modifications to all existing equipment
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems
  • Support the Project team with installations and commissioning when necessary
  • Have the ability to diagnose processes and assist with more complex engineering issues
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs on the site system
  • Adhere to company EH&S policies
  • Provide an on-call service to support the shift engineers

To be considered:

  • BTEC or ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering or Electronics, or equivalent
  • Time-served apprentice with an electrical qualification and a proven electrical engineering working background
  • A competent understanding of PLCs, fault finding, and diagnostics on process control field equipment
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • AC & DC variable speed drive knowledge
  • Attend all relevant training requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Other IT experience would be beneficial
