Job Description:

We are seeking an electrical-biased candidate, preferably a time-served electrician or service engineer, to join our support team. The role involves supporting clients who own data centres by monitoring power and thermal systems, promoting efficiency, and maintaining compliance. The position is mainly office-based with some site visits and flexible working options.

The Role:

• Act as the electrical expert within the support team, addressing customer queries related to electrical aspects of data centre software issues.
• Interpret single-line schematics received from clients and transfer this information to our platform.
• Populate platform room graphics and site schematics based on site surveys and customer drawings.
• Occasionally conduct site surveys to capture technical room layouts and power system capacities, advancing power-related functionalities of our software products.

Qualifications and Skills:

• City and Guilds, 16th-18th edition electrical qualifications, JIB certification, or equivalent experience as a time-serving electrician.
• Knowledge of LV switchgear, generators, DC/UPS power systems, electrical distribution, meters, circuit breakers, and switchboards.
• Practical experience with installation and commissioning of retrofit energy meters is a plus, but training will be provided.
• An understanding of data centre power/distribution systems and SaaS platforms is beneficial but not essential.
