Electrical Power Systems Engineer (Marine)

Salary: £44,000 - £46,000 Basic + Bonuses + Overtime (OTE £75K+) + Vehicle + Training + Technical Progression + Door to Door Pay + Enhanced Pension + Package

We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join a world-leading OEM renowned for quality products and excellent service. Are you an electrical engineer with experience in power and propulsion systems or a strong electrical background looking to expand your knowledge?

This role allows you to become a technical specialist in the marine sector, working with the latest power and propulsion technologies. You will receive official OEM training and have opportunities for career progression. The company has a global presence across industries such as Power Generation, Marine, Rail, Aviation, and Nuclear, with a division specializing in marine automation, power, and propulsion systems to ensure vessels operate efficiently worldwide.

The company values staff development and promotes engineers into senior roles through continuous training and progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintenance, breakdowns, and commissioning of electrical power and propulsion systems
  • Working on electrical power systems, propulsion systems, and associated control systems
  • Preparing technical reports promptly and accurately
  • Based mainly in Essex with occasional worldwide travel
  • Experience with electrical power or propulsion systems
  • Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, and software packages (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, WAGO)
  • Experience with switchgear and switchboards
  • Previous experience as a Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Marine Engineer, or Navy personnel
  • Electrical qualifications or equivalent (NVQ, HNC, etc.)
  • Must hold a UK Passport
