Job summary

A leading engineering firm based in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the electrical scope of complex infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale M&E projects, strong leadership skills, and relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Project Management. This is a full-time position in a dynamic environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure, energy, or mission-critical environments is an advantage.
• Strong track record of managing projects from design through to handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance.
• Review project specifications and manage technical submittals, RFIs, and variations.
• Oversee procurement, delivery, and installation of plant and electrical systems.
• Manage labour, resources, and weekly progress reporting.
• Liaise with main contractors, subcontractors, and client-side representatives.
• Ensure construction and commissioning programmes are in place and delivered on time.
• Drive snagging, close-out, and documentation processes.
• Identify opportunities for efficiencies and project improvements.

Skills

Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager on large-scale M&E projects

Strong leadership skills and experience supervising teams

Education

Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management
