Job summary

GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, seeks an Electrical Planning Engineer (12 months fixed term) to provide electrical design and technical support for new connections and LCT assessments. Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer, you will ensure accurate calculations and timely quotations for 3rd party POC applications.

You will undertake network export calculations for embedded generation, liaise with DNOs and ICPs, manage data and documentation, and contribute to improved efficiency

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Academic qualifications in English, Maths and Science.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Network demand calculations and design Points of Connection (POCs) for third party applications.
• Undertake Network export calculations for embedded generation assessments in line with ENA ER G98 & G99.
• Coordinate with Distribution Network Operators and Independent Connection Providers to progress design and construction.

Skills

Excellent verbal communication

Education

Academic qualifications in English, Mathematics and at least one Science

Level 2 City & Guild or equivalent engineering qualification

Membership at a recognised engineering institution e.g. IET
