Role Overview
9-12 Month Temp Contracts Available

This temporary role involves contributing to the production of all cargo security systems by routing, wiring, assembling, and installing electrical and electronic components to a high standard.

Responsibilities include:

  • Routing, wiring, assembling, and installing electrical and electronic components in mobile truck systems and fixed or gantry rail systems, such as main junction and terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and CCTV cameras, according to specifications, using jig boards, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
  • Reading drawings and schematics to determine assembly methods.
  • Cutting wires to specified lengths and insulating connections with plastic sleeves.
  • Crimping terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends.
  • Routing, tying, and attaching wires to terminal points according to layout.
  • Connecting wiring to accessories like relays, circuit breakers, plugs, switches, and solenoids, and installing accessory assemblies.
  • Conducting functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies and components.
  • Working with 240V and 415V systems; experience with Cat5 cable is advantageous.
  • Supporting ISO standards compliance.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualifications are not essential, but relevant hands-on experience in a dynamic environment is required.
  • Attention to detail and producing quality work are vital.
  • Experience working with 240V, 415V, and Cat5 cables is advantageous.
  • Competitive rates available, either PAYE or via Umbrella Company.
