The Employer:

We are looking to fill the role of an Electrical Operations Supervisor within a housing environment. Our client is ambitious and has a significant 5-year plan to create a sustainable future for social housing, building new homes, and investing in existing ones to foster vibrant, thriving communities.

The Role:

1. Manage and oversee the delivery of electrical installations, responsive repairs, and planned works, including inspection & testing, electrical works, heating installations, and full property rewires, aiming for first-time fix within budget.
2. Act as a Qualified Supervisor (QS), maintaining high standards to review and sign off electrical certification.
3. Update relevant stakeholders on work progress and escalate complex issues to management for remedial action.
4. Ensure correct recording of inspection and testing results on certificates or reports.
5. Validate, compile, and sign off reports and certifications, ensuring corrective actions are taken when needed.
6. Maintain accurate records following company policies and industry standards, safeguarding certifications, and reporting any issues.
7. Set out jobs from drawings and specifications, requisition materials, and ensure compliance and testing.
8. Comply with health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures, including the use of PPE.
9. Resolve customer feedback promptly to maintain high satisfaction, liaising with colleagues and customers.
10. Optimize trade-staff deployment to meet service requirements, reviewing team efficiency and performance.
11. Monitor area performance daily, review progress, and address variances from standards.
12. Support team growth and development within Safer Homes.
13. Participate in out-of-hours service, support the Senior Electrical Operations Manager, and cover in their absence.
14. Undertake additional tasks as appropriate.

The Candidate will need to be:

1. Demonstrate supervisory/managerial skills in electrical works or similar roles.
2. Hold or have held a "Qualified Supervisors" position with a recognized certifying body (e.g., NICEIC or Napit).
3. Have completed an apprenticeship or equivalent practical training in electrical installation work.
4. Achieve Measurement 2 (AM2) and be a qualified Electrician with social housing experience.
5. Possess qualifications including City & Guilds 2391, 2360 Parts 1 & 2, 2351, 2330 Levels 2 & 3, or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation Work or equivalent.
6. Have completed City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 in verification, certification, inspection, and testing of electrical installations or equivalent.
7. Demonstrate practical knowledge of BS:7671 standards and inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical installations.
8. Hold a full driving license and be able to travel using a personal vehicle efficiently.
9. Be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of working under pressure while maintaining excellent customer service.

Summary:

Full driving license required with vehicle access. This is a full-time, permanent position. An enhanced DBS check must be held or applied for.
