Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Network Design Engineer to design electricity networks for EV charging sites, with a focus on 11kV infrastructure. This is a key role in the development of large-scale EV charging networks, ensuring sites have the necessary grid connections and power distribution to support high-power charging solutions.

As part of a leading OEM in EV charging technology, you will work on the end-to-end design of electrical networks, from grid connection feasibility to final implementation. You will collaborate with DNOs, ICPs, and internal teams to ensure network designs are optimised for reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in the design of electricity networks, including 11kV distribution systems
  • Strong understanding of grid connections, load flow analysis, and power system modelling
  • Familiarity with electrical protection schemes, switchgear, transformers, and cabling for EV infrastructure
  • Experience working with DNOs, IDNOs, or ICPs on new grid connections and electrical system upgrades
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and standards, such as the Electricity Safety, Quality, and Continuity Regulations (ESQCR)

Further information can be given upon request and subject to meeting suitability criteria. All candidates must already possess the right to live and work in the UK without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

If you have the expertise to design robust and scalable power networks for EV charging, apply today to be part of the future of sustainable transport.
