Zusammenfassung

5S Recruitment Limited is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) in Greater Manchester. The role involves reactive maintenance, planned servicing and installing electrical systems across automated machinery, with a three-month probation and day-based training.

You will diagnose faults, repair issues and implement improvements to prevent breakdowns, working across PLC- and HMI-controlled equipment and supporting apprentice development.

Qualifikationen

• Apprentice trained or equivalent with NVQ Level 3 or higher.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience diagnosing faults on PLC- and HMI-controlled equipment.

Aufgaben

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance across production machinery, plant and building services.
• Diagnose and repair faults on automated cells, injection moulding machines, extrusion equipment, hydraulic presses and conveyors.
• Investigate faults on PLC- and HMI-controlled machinery.
• Complete electrical installations for new machinery and equipment including cabling and power supplies.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
• Monitor machinery condition and report defects, recommending corrective action.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and comply with health and safety requirements.
• Support apprentice development and share knowledge within the team.
