Job summary

Forgewell Partners is working with a Continental Food Manufacturing Training & Development client in Sheffield, seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join the site. The role focuses on fault finding, maintenance and improving line reliability across processing and packaging equipment.

You'll carry out planned maintenance and respond to breakdowns, contribute to CI projects, assist with new equipment installations and help drive uptime through root-cause analysis and close

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in electrical discipline.
• Strong electrical fault‑finding experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with PLC‑controlled machinery (fault finding required, programming beneficial).
• Previous food or FMCG experience would be advantageous, although other fast‑paced manufacturing backgrounds will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Work on processing and packaging equipment, carrying out planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and support new equipment installations.
• Drive reliability across the site and investigate recurring faults to reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with production to shorten downtime and keep lines running efficiently.
