Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd in Bridgend is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Production Engineering team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role operates on a 3-shift pattern and offers a salary up to £33,800 with opportunities to further your education via HNC and Degree courses.

You will maintain automated test and assembly lines, perform TPM, fault-find, and drive efficiency improvements while ensuring safety and compliance. A strong electrical and mechanical background is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 diploma in electrical, mechanical, or maintenance engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out TPM activities with emphasis on electrical systems.
• Fault-find and repair electrical and mechanical production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults including PLCs and sensors.
• Support implementation of process changes for continuous improvement.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
• Provide input during Design for Manufacture evaluations.
• Manage stock and spare parts for the department.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and adhere to safety standards.
