Job summary

Baker Recruitment Group Ltd seeks an experienced Electrical and Mechanical Engineer for a site-based role in a fast-moving timber and window-and-door manufacturing environment. You will perform hands-on maintenance, diagnose faults quickly and carry out small installations and improvements while keeping accurate records.

The role balances breakdown response with planned maintenance, requires flexibility for shutdowns and travel between Group sites, and may include overnight stays as agreed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience with fault diagnosis and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to balance urgent breakdowns with planned maintenance and small improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance on production plant, equipment and site services.
• Diagnose faults rapidly and implement fixes to address root causes.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and small installations/improvement work.
• Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement across sites.
