Job summary

Hexagon Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for our International client who are looking to add to their current Team a further Electrical/Mechanical Field Service Engineer. A generous salary (£44,000–£45,000) with paid overtime, a fully expensed company car, uniform and ongoing training awaits the successful candidate.

Role involves remote and face-to-face customer support, field service on client sites for maintenance and upgrades, and training delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in an automated industrial machine maintenance, repair & installation environment.
• Apprentice trained in an engineering discipline with relevant qualifications.
• Electrical engineering qualification at least HNC or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and face-to-face support to customers via telephone and remote software.
• Conduct field service tasks including planned maintenance and repairs at client sites.
• Install new equipment and upgrades, work alone or as part of a team.
• Deliver training on software and hardware applications post-installation.
• Support sales processes with technical input as required.

Remote & Face to Face support of customers via telephone and using remote support software to diagnose problems, identify user issues, monitor systems, and carry out configuration changes. Field Service. Visiting client sites to carry out planned preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance following a machine failure
  installation of new equipment and installation of upgrades, working alone or as part of a team. Implementation/Training. Providing excellent user software and hardware application training post installation using a defined training programme to ensure the customer has the skills to maximise productivity. Technical Sales Support. Support of the sales process by providing Technical expertise and input as and when required. Required Qualifications and Experience: Experience in an automated industrial machine maintenance, repair & installation environments. Apprentice trained in an engineering discipline. Qualified in electrical engineering (preferably to HNC level) Preferably experience working as a field service engineer. Required Capabilities: Electro/mechanical fault finding ability (electrical bias). Fault-finding skills on hydraulic and pneumatic applications. PLC fault-finding skills (interrogate plc and make minor alterations) Excellent
