Job summary

Computerworld Personnel Ltd is partnering with a well‑established engineering services business to recruit Electrical/Mechanical Engineers. Based in Ipswich or Peterborough, you will work across workshop and customer sites, carrying out servicing, overhauls and testing of rotating equipment and electromechanical systems.

The package includes £35,000–£40,000 plus overtime and an on‑call allowance, with 21 days holiday and ongoing technical training.

Qualifications

• Experience as Electrical/Mechanical Engineer on rotating equipment.
• Experience with pumps, motors, gearboxes or fans.
• Able to fault find and overhaul industrial machinery.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, overhauls, repairs and testing of pumps, electric motors, gearboxes and fan units.
• Strip and inspect equipment, identify faults and determine repair requirements.
• Attend customer sites for equipment removal, maintenance, repair and reinstallation.
• Complete alignment, bearing replacements, servicing and general electromechanical repairs.
• Ensure all repaired equipment is tested and operating correctly before return to customers.
• Participate in a shared on‑call rota for emergency breakdown support.
