Job summary

NEOS Recruitment in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, is seeking two Electrical & Mechanical Engineers to join an established engineering team. The role involves a balanced mix of workshop repairs and field-based work on industrial electrical and mechanical equipment, with a focus on fault finding, repairs and servicing.

Ideal candidates will have experience in electrical and mechanical engineering, be able to work independently or as part of a team, and hold a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within an electrical and mechanical engineering role
• Strong fault finding and repair skills
• Experience working on industrial electrical and/or mechanical equipment
• Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Stripping, inspecting and assessing electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, fan units and rotating equipment
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
• Carrying out repairs, overhauls, and rebuilds
• Attending customer sites to remove, install, service and recommission equipment
• Producing repair reports and supporting quotations
• Participating in an on-call rota for emergency breakdowns
• Working safely both in the workshop and on customer sites

Electrical & Mechanical Engineer

We are looking to recruit 2 Electrical & Mechanical Engineers to join their established engineering team based in Ipswich.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Pump Engineer, Motor Engineer or Electro-Mechanical Engineer looking for a varied role combining workshop repairs with site-based engineering work.

Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, you'll split your time approximately 50% workshop / 50% field-based, carrying out repairs, overhauls, servicing, fault finding and installations on industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Stripping, inspecting and assessing electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, fan units and rotating equipment
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
• Carrying out repairs, overhauls, and rebuilds
• Attending customer sites to remove, install, service and recommission equipment
• Producing repair reports and supporting quotations
• Participating in an on-call rota for emergency breakdowns
• Working safely both in the workshop and on customer sites

Requirements
