Job summary

A well-established engineering services business in Ipswich or Peterborough is seeking Electrical/Mechanical Engineers to service, repair and maintain rotating equipment across workshop and site environments.

You’ll be involved in repair, overhaul and testing of pumps, motors, gearboxes and fans, with opportunities for overtime and site-based projects on a varied, hands-on role.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer.
  • Experience with pumps, motors, gearboxes, or fans.
  • Able to fault find, repair and overhaul industrial machinery.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Organised, methodical and proactive approach to work.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, overhauls, repairs and testing of pumps, electric motors, gearboxes and fan units.
  • Strip and inspect equipment, identify faults and determine repair requirements.
  • Attend customer sites for equipment removal, maintenance, repair and reinstallation.
  • Complete alignment, bearing replacements, servicing and general electromechanical repairs.
  • Ensure all repaired equipment is tested and operating correctly before return to customers.
  • Participate in a shared on-call rota for emergency breakdown support.

£35,000 - £40,000 + Overtime + On-Call Allowance + Benefits

A well-established engineering services business is looking to recruit Electrical/Mechanical Engineers to join its growing team in either Ipswich or Peterborough. Working across both workshop and customer sites, you'll be responsible for the repair, overhaul and maintenance of a wide range of rotating equipment and electromechanical systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong mechanical and electrical experience looking for a varied role offering hands-on workshop work, site-based projects and overtime opportunities.

The Role
  • Carry out servicing, overhauls, repairs and testing of pumps, electric motors, gearboxes and fan units

Package
  • Salary dependent on experience
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
