Job summary

Capita is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Marine Engineering Training Team as a Training Delivery Instructor at HMS Sultan, Portsmouth. You will deliver Electrical Marine Engineering training to Royal Navy personnel, explaining complex concepts and coaching learners during theory and practical sessions.

This full-time role (37.5 hours) operates on a term-time basis, offering 45 working weeks per year with breaks at Christmas and Easter.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience within Electrical/Engineering.
• Proficient in IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
• Competent Electrical practical/hand skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training modules within Electrical Marine Engineering to the Royal Navy.
• Conduct both theory and practical training in Electrical Engineering.
• Maintain strong relationships with the customer and within Marine Engineering Electrical training area.
• Assist in maintaining training documentation and assess coursework to provide feedback.
• Utilise best practice to inform quality and improvement activities across RN training.
• Ensure duty of care and progression of training during delivery phase.
