Electrical Manufacturing Technician Job Description

World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, is currently looking to recruit 2x Electrical Manufacturing Technician subcontractors on an initial 12-month contract.

  • Job Title: Electrical Manufacturing Technician
  • Rate: £29.57 per hour
  • Overtime Rate: Hours worked over 37 hours per week will be calculated at ‘time and a quarter’
  • Location: Stevenage
  • Hybrid / Remote working: Onsite
  • Contract: 37 Hours per week
  • Duration: 12 Months (initially, with potential for ongoing and long-term work)
  • IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)
Role Overview

The Manufacturing Technician, as a qualified craftsman with relevant experience in electrical manufacturing, will report to a Team Leader. Responsibilities include assembly, inspection, and testing, following daily directions and task priorities.

The technician should be capable of certifying products, applying versatile skills across tasks, and utilizing equipment, tools, gauges, and measuring instruments related to production, repair, and modification to meet standards and specifications.

  • Electrical wiring and assembly
  • Certify products according to certification procedures and maintain approvals through regular audits
  • Operate all manufacturing equipment, tools, and measurement instruments
  • Ensure manufacturing, inspection, and testing times are met
  • Complete all manufacturing documentation accurately

  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures and safety standards
