Job description

My client is looking for an Electrical Manufacturing Technician to join them on an initial 12-month basis. As the Electrical Manufacturing Technician, we are looking for a qualified craftsman with several years of relevant experience in electrical manufacturing. You will be typically capable of certifying the product and possess a versatile skill base, with a capability to apply your skills across a range of tasks utilising equipment and tools, gauges and measuring instruments associated with the production, repair and modification of company products to meet defined build standards and specification requirements.


Role: Electrical Manufacturing Technician
Pay: £26.19 - £29.57 per hour via Umbrella
Location: Stevenage
Contract: 12 Months
Hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week
Security Clearance: BPSS


Responsibilities:

  1. Possess experience in electrical wiring and assembly.
  2. Certify the product in line with the product certification procedure.
  3. Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits.
  4. Possess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasks.
  5. Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle.
  6. Ensure manufacturing build, inspection and where relevant, test times are met.
  7. Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
  8. Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality.
  9. Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
  10. Maintain a safe working environment.
  11. Maintain a good housekeeping policy.
  12. Communicate best practice to other team members.

Skillset/experience required:

  1. The successful candidate should be a team player who is able to demonstrate customer focus.
  2. They should also have proven planning and organising skills and be flexible and adaptable.
  3. Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21/HNC.
  4. Experience as a skilled person.
