Electrical Manager (Specialist Electrical)

Salary: £37,938 - £40,476 per annum (Grade 9)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: Dudley Central

Job Overview

Dudley Council seeks an Electrical Manager (Specialist) to oversee the management and delivery of electrical, technical, mechanical, civils, and building installation and maintenance services for the Council’s Housing Assets and Development services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure high standards, minimal defects, and high customer satisfaction.
  2. Produce technical specifications, feasibility studies, and manage site contracts, procurement, payments, and cost control.
  3. Manage electrical systems, specialist technical systems (including security and support for vulnerable residents), passenger lifts, and property refurbishment works.
  4. Manage contracts and contractors for various electrical and technical systems such as CCTV, lifts, water systems, etc.
  5. Contribute to the advancement into digital technology innovations for resident services.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • City & Guilds 236/2360 parts 1, 2, and C (or equivalent)
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing
  • HNC/HND in electrical or building engineering
  • Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS)
  • Proven experience in managing contractors, technical staff, and building projects.
