Our client is a rapidly growing multi-service engineering company, trusted by homeowners and blue-chip partners across the South East. They specialise in heating, electrical, and renewable technologies, with a fast-developing focus on EV charging infrastructure.

They are looking for a self-sufficient EV Technical Manager to take ownership of their EV installation service. This is an excellent opportunity to join a future-focused company at the forefront of the clean transport transition.

Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 + Company Vehicle

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • City & Guilds 2921-31 (or equivalent) EV Charger Installation Certification
  • City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) Testing and Inspection qualification
  • Valid ECS/JIB card
  • Experience leading or mentoring engineers

The Role:

You’ll lead the design and delivery of EV charger installations, supervise engineers, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and specify safe, compliant EV charger installations (domestic and small commercial)
  • Oversee project delivery from initial survey to commissioning
  • Conduct technical site audits and quality assurance checks
  • Ensure all work adheres to current wiring regulations and SIP (Safe Isolation) protocols
  • Assist with scheduling, planning, and resource management
  • Deliver training and mentorship to engineers and apprentices
  • Act as technical lead on all EV-related issues
  • Liaise with clients, DNOs, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Promote safety, innovation, and operational efficiency
