The Senior Project Manager - Electrical will work on various projects throughout a career at Dowds. Currently, the focus is on a Life Science project valued at over £30M. This project is in the pre-construction stage. In this role, you will report to the Operations Manager and manage Project Managers.

The Role:

Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager - Electrical include:

1. Reading drawings & specifications to extract information for accurate costing.
2. Inducting personnel onto site, conducting daily briefs, toolbox talks, preparing and issuing RAMS, and monitoring H&S plans.
3. Preparing and issuing technical submissions, monitoring stock materials, assisting with procurement, overseeing deliveries, and managing hire goods when applicable.
4. Liaising with subcontractors & specialists, coordinating works, and troubleshooting.
5. Monitoring project progress and reporting to the Main Contractor, Client, and Operations Manager.
6. Ensuring high standards are maintained, implementing and monitoring IMS systems.
7. Attending company/department meetings and contributing to project/client progress meetings.
8. Scheduling and monitoring commissioning/testing of equipment & systems, ensuring records are retained for O&M.
9. Preparing manuals, 'as installed' drawings, building logbooks, and operational guides.
10. Maintaining strong communication with the delivery team and reporting to the Operations Manager.
11. Building and maintaining relationships with the project team, clients, and end-users.
12. Managing site personnel professionally and courteously.
13. Liaising with the design team, consultants, and clients, providing relevant information.
14. Overseeing H&S, procurement, and delivery aspects.

Person requirements include:

1. At least 10 years of experience in Project Management.
2. Experience on construction projects from start to finish, with an electrical bias.
3. An electrical trade background, engineering qualification, or equivalent experience.
