Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd. is recruiting an Electrical Manager for a permanent role in Essex within the social housing sector. You will lead electrical services across a portfolio of housing stock, overseeing contractors and ensuring works meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

You will work with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver compliant electrical programmes, maintain resident safety, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery and performance reporting.

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing budgets and monitoring contractor performance.
  • Electrical qualifications and/or professional accreditation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage risks associated with electrical compliance.
  • Support procurement, contract mobilisation and contractor management.
  • Work with internal property, housing and compliance teams.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance on electrical matters.
  • Produce performance and compliance reports for senior management.
  • Ensure resident safety and customer satisfaction remain at heart of service delivery.

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Electrical Manager looking for your next permanent opportunity within the social housing sector?

We're currently working with a well-established housing organisation in Essex that is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Manager to lead and oversee electrical services across their housing stock.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical professional who is looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in ensuring electrical works are delivered safely, compliantly and to a consistently high standard.

The Role

As Electrical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical works and services across a portfolio of social housing properties, managing contractors and ensuring all works meet the required regulatory, safety and quality standards.

You’ll work closely with internal teams, contractors and key stakeholders to ensure electrical programmes are delivered effectively, while maintaining a strong focus on compliance, resident safety and customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

About You

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Manager or Senior Electrical professional with a strong background in social housing, housing maintenance or property services.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Proven experience managing electrical works within social housing or a similar property environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical compliance and relevant legislation.
  • Experience managing contractors and external service providers.
  • Good understanding of planned, reactive and electrical compliance works.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
