Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and cleared Electrical Maintenance Technician to support installation, maintenance, and operations of critical infrastructure site. The successful candidate will work across electrical and communications systems, raised-floor environments, and general facilities infrastructure while ensuring compliance with US government standards and security protocols.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test electrical and communication cables in raised-floor spaces.

• Route, install, and remove cabling infrastructure including branch circuits, conduits, cable trays, and connections for IT and site systems.

• Maintain and repair electrical distribution equipment including controllers, circuit breakers, motors, and heating units.

• Diagnose faults in electrical systems using schematics, blueprints, test instruments, and diagnostic tools.

• Perform small job take-offs and participate in design reviews and site maintenance events.

• Prepare and execute required safety permits (e.g., LOTO).

• Liaise with customers to clarify site installation requirements and participate in technical meetings.

• Support coordination of team activity during maintenance windows and infrastructure changes.

• Perform general site maintenance and related duties as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Other Job Requirements

• All applicants must be US citizens who possess or be eligible to acquire a TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph

• Must be a US citizen

• Ability to obtain a UK work visa

• Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge (I.e., ability to use email, internet, Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel, to effectively conduct company business on the program). Some positions may require an increased level of computer knowledge, depending on the required duties of the position.

• Journeyman or Master Electrician’s License (recognized U.S. certification).

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance, preferably in critical environments.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and layout drawings.

• Proficient in the use of hand tools, test meters, insulation resistance testers, and other diagnostic equipment.

• Excellent troubleshooting, time management, and coordination skills.

• Strong safety awareness and experience working under work permit systems.

• Comfortable working in high-security environments and adhering to change control processes.

• Flexibility to work in diverse physical environments including mechanical rooms, secure IT spaces, and occasionally at heights or in confined areas.

• Strong working knowledge of:

o National Electric Code (NEC) and/or British electrical standards

o Power distribution systems in data centers (UPS, PDU, switchgear)

o Raised-floor environments

o Medium and low-voltage systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Local candidates preferred

• Experience supporting data centers or other mission-critical government facilities

• Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) and monitoring platforms
