Qualifications

Job Description:

We are looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Technician/Fitter (Days) at our cable manufacturing site on Wrexham Industrial Estate.

Working on a days roster - Monday to Friday only

37 hours per week

Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pm and Friday 8am -1pm

Christmas shutdown

26 days holiday per year plus 8 bank holidays

Electrical

PLC, Instrumentation and Electronic drives.

Using software to interface or diagnose faults on plant and machinery.

Maintenance on large AC and DC motors.

Machine and Plant lock off procedures

Duties/Responsibilities

Risk assessment and safety awareness, guarding of machinery legislation.

Developing and implementing modifications to improved reliability of plant and machinery.

Working as a team with manufacturing and maintenance colleagues.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Working to a continuous shift pattern with necessary overtime to cover holidays.

Adherence to Health & Safety with absolute priority.

Lifting and handling plant and machinery components using appropriate equipment and techniques.

MS Office or equivalent.

Ability to read technical drawings.

Minimum of BTEC ONC level in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or proven experience.

The Person

Time served with experience in all aspects of electrical maintenance engineering.

Completed a recognised, certificated industrial apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance.

Significant experience in an industrial maintenance field.

Self-starter, proactive, prepared to take the initiative and work without direct supervision.

Work well under pressure.

Practical approach.

Team player.

Flexible attitude to overtime and shift cover
