Job summary

Nuclear Restoration Services is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a close-knit team responsible for safe, high-quality electrical maintenance across the site. You will diagnose faults, complete repairs and perform preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and compliance, with a four-day week structure.

Applicants should have a Level 3 Electrical Qualification and an Apprenticeship or equivalent training, plus knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Job description

What You Will Be Doing

You'll be part of a close-knit maintenance team responsible for delivering safe, high-quality electrical maintenance across the site. Your work will help keep critical systems operating effectively, ensuring equipment remains reliable, compliant and ready to support ongoing site operations. This is a practical role where you'll use your technical skills every day to diagnose faults, complete repairs and carry out preventative maintenance activities.

The variety of work is one of the biggest attractions of this opportunity. You'll be involved in everything from electrical testing and inspections to lighting systems, motors, distribution equipment, installations and modifications. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll have the opportunity to further develop your skills while contributing to a team that values safety, collaboration and technical excellence.

All of this is delivered through a full-time role structured across just four days each week, giving you an additional day to do what matters most outside of work.

Who Are We Looking For?

We're looking for someone with practical electrical maintenance experience. You'll need a Level 3 Electrical Qualification and Apprenticeship or equivalent electrical training as well as Knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, which is essential for this role. City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing is desirable, and training can be provided for the right candidate if required. You may currently work as an Electrical Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Engineer or electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

You’ll enjoy hands-on problem solving and be confident working with a range of electrical plant and equipment. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in delivering work to a high standard, works safely and collaboratively, and wants to continue developing their knowledge within a supportive team environment. Nuclear experience is not required, and candidates who meet most of the requirements are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic capability
