Job description

Are you passionate about keeping operations running smoothly and safely?

We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical plant equipment across our distribution centres.

As our In-House Electrician, you’ll work closely with the Facilities Manager and Estate Operations team, to help maintain high standards across our estate. You’ll also play a key part in overseeing third-party contractors, ensuring all work meets compliance requirements and delivers excellent service quality.

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Job Type: Full time permanent contract*Location: Crewe - travel to other sites required to support maintenance activities or project work
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
  • Complete PPM tasks within agreed KPI timescales, ensuring accurate documentation in line with procedures.
  • Respond promptly to service calls, assess requirements, and carry our necessary repairs.
  • Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet response targets and operational needs.
  • Identify non-repairable faults and recommend suitable replacements.
  • Carry out general repairs, minor alterations, and installations across distribution sites, including relevant testing and certification.
  • Conduct site surveys and produce reports as required.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are used correctly, maintained, and available as per company standards.
  • Order spare parts following established procedures.
A Few Things About You
  • C&G 2382 (18th addition)
  • Level 3 core electrical qualification, examples of which are C&G 2365 (with relevant experience)

* 3 phase electrics and applications

* Familiarity with completion of electrical certification

  • City & Guilds 2391 testing and inspection
  • Time served in electrical discipline or have relevant industry experience in a similar role
