Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Electrical Maintenance Technicians, Electrical Technicians, and Maintenance Technicians to join a market-leading life sciences organisation in Cardiff.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to join a busy manufacturing environment, carrying out preventative maintenance, fault finding, and equipment support. The role is initially offered on a temporary basis for 2-3 months, with the potential for long-term or permanent opportunities for the right candidate.
£19.48-£22.29 per hour.
Monday to Friday working.
Rotating shift pattern.
Temporary position for 2-3 months initially.

Experience within a busy manufacturing environment.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimise downtime.
Respond quickly and effectively to unplanned equipment breakdowns, supporting production continuity.
Assist in process changeovers, machine setups, and implementation of health and safety-related actions.
Contribute to tasks including risk assessments, portable appliance testing, PUWER compliance checks, LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures, and installation qualifications.
Collaborate with process engineering to monitor and analyse equipment performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor and improve equipment performance by ensuring fault finding and root cause analysis are carried out in a timely manner to fix and eliminate repeated faults.
Completed an apprenticeship or hold formal qualifications (NVQ Level 3 / HNC / BTEC) in Electrical Maintenance or a related field.
Experience with PLC systems.
Self-motivated and committed to upholding high standards of Safety, Quality and Delivery.
Ability to communicate effectively across all departments and functions.
Able to complete basic fault finding on mechanical systems, ideally within a manufacturing and/or cleanroom environment.
Monday to Friday.
Rotating shifts:
6am-2pm.
2pm-10pm.
£19.48-£22.29 per hour.
