Electrical Shift Engineer - (Continentals shift) - Southend-on-Sea - £49,000

This exciting opportunity is with an established FM service provider in Southend-on-Sea. The client seeks three Shift Maintenance Electricians based in a unique commercial building. Candidates should be electrically biased (C&G, 17th/18th Edition) with experience in commercial building maintenance, preferably in critical sites such as banks or blue-chip offices. Responsibilities include electrical, mechanical, and fabric maintenance. The company offers a competitive salary of up to £49,000 plus overtime, training, and career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lighting (installation, fault-finding, lamp replacement, ballast changes, control panels, power distribution)
• Emergency lighting
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Air conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (filter changes, cleaning)
• Water treatment (temperature checks, no dosing)
• Plumbing - unblocking toilets
• BMS systems
• UPS systems

Hours of Work:

• Continentals shift pattern (days and nights)
• 07:00 - 19:00 / 19:00 - 07:00
• Plenty of overtime
• 20 days shift holiday

Requirements:

• City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Electrical
• City & Guilds 17th or 18th Edition
• Ability to provide copies of trade certificates
• Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
• Understanding of critical plant systems (UPS, generators, control panels, power distribution, chillers, HVAC)
• Multi-skilled
• Good communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
