Job summary

Dovetail and Slate Limited in the Middlesbrough area is seeking a Lecturer in Electrical Maintenance Engineering to join our Engineering team. You will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across qualifications, including Pearson Level 3 BTECs and City & Guilds Level 3 T Levels, in both classroom and workshop environments.

You will play a key role in preparing learners with the technical skills, knowledge, and professional behaviours required for progression into employment,

Qualifications

• Mandatory: Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
• Willingness to work towards a recognized teaching qualification is supported if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and industry-relevant programmes of study across classroom and workshop settings.
• Design and deliver assessment programmes in line with awarding body and organisation standards.
• Use diagnostic assessments to identify learner strengths and areas for development, implementing timely interventions.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in internal and external quality assurance processes.
• Promote high standards of learner behaviour, attendance, and progress while supporting teaching strategies.
