Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a Sheffield-based team. You will develop project plans, monitor progress, and lead NPI meetings, ensuring design changes meet cost and quality targets.

You will work across engineering, manufacturing, operations and quality, coordinating with suppliers and driving improvements in safety, efficiency and output quality. A strong electrical background and hands-on furnace/PLC experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent).
• 17th/18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations knowledge.
• Proven heavy manufacturing or foundry experience.
• Hands-on experience with high-temperature furnaces; PLCs; AC/DC drives and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to meet targets.
• Chair NPI meetings as required and implement design changes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure specs.
• Assist with supplier and vendor coordination and purchase orders.
• Analyse results and drive cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain documentation and ensure internal audits pass.
