Job summary

HRC Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Ayrshire for a permanent role within a modern, highly automated manufacturing facility. You will maintain and improve plant reliability, performance, and efficiency in a continental shift pattern (days and nights, including alternate weekends).

You will carry out planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and drive long-term reliability improvements across

Qualifications

• Completed electrical apprenticeship with an HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong background in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Confident fault-finding and diagnostic skills on PLC-controlled machinery and automated systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to breakdown situations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Perform fault-finding on electrical systems and support root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve plant performance.
