Job description

Job Title: Night Shift Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

Location: Stafford

Hours: Monday - Thursday - 22:00 - 06:00, Friday 18:00 - 00:00

Role Purpose

Completion of planned and reactive maintenance tasks on building and Production Equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all buildings, plant and production equipment.
  2. Work as a team of 2 on night shift.
  3. Ability to carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical equipment.
  4. Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are adhered to for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
  5. Develop a good working relationship with all members of staff and client's staff.
  6. Ensure logbooks, shift hand-over and the client's reporting is updated regularly and accurately.
  7. Have a flexible attitude to working overtime where required.
  8. Identify and report potential hazards.
Person Specification/Requirements
  1. A good written and spoken English, Mathematics and IT skills.
  2. Full UK driving license.
  3. Experience in multi-skilled disciplines (For example, Mechanical, fabric, water hygiene, painting and carpentry) is desirable.
  4. Comprehensive electrical experience, undertaking reactive and planned preventative maintenance. Experience of Cranes desirable and ability to work at height essential.
  5. Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations regarding maintenance activities.
  6. Ability to learn, and develop both technical knowledge, and understanding of local organisational systems and processes.
  7. Excellent fault-finding skills.
  8. Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.
  9. Calm manner, able to work under pressure.
  10. Demonstrates organisational and planning skills.
  11. Manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  12. Ability to work to own initiative and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  13. None-essential but advantageous: Formal H&S training, Legionella Awareness, IPAF.
